It was extremely busy so food was slow coming out however our server was lovely, kept checking in with us and was quick to organise drinks etc. Food was lovely and good sized portions. Main issue was with it being so busy it was really noisy so conversation was hard but not sure what they can do about that other than some sort of decor or furnishings that absorb sound! Will happily go back.

Decided to stop here for lunch after a long drive back home. Food was really good, the slow cooked pork belly with scallops was excellent and my partner said her oven cooked monkfish hit the spot as well. After such brilliant food we could not resist having a dessert as well. It's been a little while since we've dined here and this time around the Old Bulls Head did not disappoint.

Possibly the worst pizza we’ve ever eaten, bases was like cardboard and not much toppings, 2 people had fillet steak 1 was O.K. The other was tough but the dog enjoyed it. We ordered a round of drinks which didn’t come until we chased them. The gents toilets we’re disgusting 2 urinals were taped off and the other 3 were like swamps under them.

For a party of 8 there is always the risk that the service might not be up to scratch with meals being served in waves but this was not the case for us. The service was excellent and the food meals arrived all together. The menu is extensive enough to please most diners and the quality of the food was excellent. It is a lovely setting and very comfortable. A bonus was having a table to accommodate the whole party and not having to raise voices over too-loud ambient music which meant we could have good conversations throughout the meal.

We had the Valentine’s set menu last night and we’re really impressed with our overall experience Zara looked after us very well . The £40 add on for a bottle of Moet champagne was a welcome addition to our evening

We hadn't been to the Old Bulls Head for many years and fancied a return visit for a date night. I was very pleased with our choice! The restaurant has a higher end look and atmosphere which made it feel like a real treat. There were plenty of vegetarian options for myself, with the veggie burger being delicious. My husband was particularly appreciative of the option to have three small versions of the desserts, meaning he didn't have to choose! It was just the right amount of busy for a Saturday night - not devoid of atmosphere but not overly crowded either. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be returning.
